Job Duties:

  • Analyze user needs and requirements to determine feasibility of design considering time and cost;
  • Support and customize the Odoo (Enterprise Resource Planning) ERP software platform. 
  • Maintain, customize, and optimize existing business software for clients;
  • Create and develop custom business applications based on clients’ needs to streamline and improve day-to-day business processes, and debug potential or existing bugs in the systems and fix them.
  • Customize business applications and their UI design, manage databases, develop API, write script and scheduled actions, design reports and create new custom applications.
  • Collaborate with members of the software development team and other team personnel on project status, proposals, technical issues.
  • Review and inspect General Ledger data in Odoo databases and provide answers to customer tickets regarding the financial results.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related degree.
  • Relevant introductory United States Accounting courses.
  • 1 year Odoo development experience, must include customizing existing apps and creating new modules with clean and re-usable code in different Odoo versions (V12, V13, V14, V15).
  • 6 months’ programming experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, and SQL.
  • 6 months’ experience using Python, GitHub, Odoo.SH, and Docker.
  • Candidate must be able to successfully extend an Odoo module given a set of customer specifications.

Bookkeeping Assistant

Systems Services is seeking a energetic and motivated bookkeeping assistant to help maintain financial records and documents for our bookkeeping services clients. This position will work closely underneath two Odoo Accounting Consultants to assist with the following activities.
Responsibilities 
  • Data entry: Update financial information by entering data
  • Accounts Payable: Verify and enter vendor bills against purchase orders.
  • Bank statements: Reconcile bank statements and prepare bank deposits as well as credit cards and lines of credit.
  • Expenses and receipts: Process company expesnse reports ensuring their accuracy and collection of supporting documents and receipts.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Communication: Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and collect information when needed.
  • Tax: Assist with tax reports and filing taxes on time.
  • Marketplace Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling customers receipts of payments from third party marketplaces (Shopify, Amazon, Ebay, etc.)
Details

  • This position will be full-time and remote
  • Position will be paid on the hourly basis.
  • Full employee medical coverage will be provided through our company's employee benefit plan and will be available after 60 days of employment.
  • Systems Services pays 50% of the employees medical premium expense and 100% of vision and dental premium expense.
  • Eligibility for the company retirement plan (Simple IRA) begins 90 days after your start date.
  • An IRA contribution match is available after one year of employment up to 3%.
